2013 Acura RDX to start at $40,990

The second-generation Acura RDX crossover, which will hit dealerships on April 2nd, will carry a base MSRP of $40,990 before taxes, freight and delivery charges. That’s a $500 increase over the 2012 model.

As previously reported, the 2013 Acura RDX will ditch the first-generation model’s turbo 2.3L inline-4 in favour of the brand’s 3.5L V6, good for 273 hp – a 33-horse increase. A 6-speed automatic will also be included, and the new RDX is said to deliver better fuel economy than the outgoing one.

The 2013 RDX will include standard leather seating, heated front seats, a power sunroof, an intelligent key system, Bluetooth connectivity with SMS support, a rearview camera and a 360-watt sound system.

For an extra $3,000, the Tech Package will add navigation system with 60-Gb hard drive, GPS-based dual-zone climate control, a power tailgate and a 10-speaker Acura/ELS surround sound system.
